The Tyne Valley Film Festival is programmed, organised and delivered by a small team from The Forum Cinema Hexham with the help of many fantastic volunteers and staff members throughout the region.

Clare Mwande
Forum Cinema General Manager

Rumour has it that Clare Mwande is leading this year's TVFF. Clare is manager of the Forum Cinema and has been working in the community for a number of years.

Clare is completing a Master of Arts degree in Creative Event Management at Falmouth University which is quite a commute! (It's on-line) so by the time she graduates this summer she'll know if she is getting it right and how to do more, more more next year - enjoy TVFF 2024 and look out for TVFF 2025!

In her spare time Clare is practicing to become a mad old cat lady and additionally owns a vegan tortoise who would do anything to get a bite of your hamburger!

Faye Carr-Wilson
Programme Manager

Previously working as a short filmmaker before moving into film exhibition, Faye has a decade of cinema experience which they bring to The Forum Cinema as programme manager. This means that Faye is responsible for all the films you see there, the good and the (few) bad ones. This is Faye’s 2nd year on the Tyne Valley Film Festival team, where they curate a selection of previews, special re-releases and cinematic events.

When not working at the cinema, Faye can likely be found in another cinema taking in new films, or at home, alphabetising their DVD collection.

Favourite film? The Wickerman (1973).
