A bungling railway worker is given the job of stationmaster at a rundown station in rural Ireland, where his sidekicks are a toothless old gaffer and a portly young loudmouth.

 

Hilarious adventures ensue, including a locomotive chase after gunrunners make off with a train.

Tyne Valley Community Rail Partnership is a not for profit company which aims to promote the Tyne Valley Railway Line and the communities between Newcastle and Carlisle. The Old Booking Hall at Haltwhistle Station, dating from 1855, is used by the Partnership as their education room, and is available for use by other community groups.
