During the Depression, Jimmy Gralton returns home to Ireland after ten years of exile in America. Seeing the levels of poverty and oppression, the activist in him reawakens and he looks to re-open the dance hall that led to his deportation.

About RCCS Community Cinema

RCCS Community Cinema, which is run by volunteers, takes place upstairs in the community function room at Ye Olde Cross, a community pub on the village green in Ryton.  It has a strong working link with the pub and since its beginning in September 2019 has shown monthly films which have been well supported by the community of Ryton.
