Travel and nature writer Horatio Clare will talk about his recent book Icebreaker: A Voyage Far North which chronicles his voyage around an extraordinary country and an unearthly place, the frozen Bay of Bothnia, just short of the Arctic circle.

Chasing Ice is the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. The film follows acclaimed photographer James Balog, who deploys revolutionary time-lapse cameras to capture extraordinary images of the world's changing glaciers.

Tyne Valley Film Festival is delighted to be partnering with Hexham Book Festival and Northumberland Libraries, as part of New Writing North's Read Regional Programme 2020, to bring Horatio Clare to Tyne Valley audiences.
