A giant extra-terrestrial spaceship arrives and hovers over the South African city of Johannesburg. An investigation team finds over a million malnourished aliens inside. The government, unconcerned with the aliens’ welfare but willing to do anything to master their advanced technology, relocate them to a camp called District 9.

About Ryton Cross Community Cinema

RCCS Community Cinema is run by volunteers who have shown films on the fourth Thursday of every month since 2019. We are based in Ye Olde Cross which is a well established Community owned Pub. We have a strong working partnership with our Tenants. We are well supported by the community of Ryton. A range of other community activities are organised each month. This includes a successful monthly Memory Cafe; Yarn Group
